DJ Juanny is an experimental electronic music producer and DJ based in San Francisco, CA.
Immersed in the Bay Area’s underground music culture from an early age, Juanny merged his early influences with Miami’s swampy and sexy soundscapes after two years living in South Florida.
Through his work as a producer and cofounder of the party, label and collective Amor Digital, Juanny has become a flag bearer for contemporary underground electronic music with a Latin bend. His work as a producer is a constant ode to the sounds of Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and the UK. He combines these club-ready rhythms with samples from films, Bay Area rap and obscure corners of the Internet to create his own sound. He has released on labels such as NAAFI and No Bias alongside a vast self-released catalog of original material and edits that have flooded dance floors around the world. As a DJ, he has played alongside noteworthy acts such as Safety Trance, Nick León, Bitter Babe, 10010, Loris, Merca Bae, Florentino and many others. His original music paired with his curation of Amor Digital have established him as a key figure in the scene connecting the Bay Area to Latin America.
